Privacy Policy

Petya Online for Android. Last updated 3 October 2026.

Petya Online keeps no log of websites visited, stores no connection history and does not sell data. There is no sign-up: we don't know who you are.

What the app doesn't do

Permissions: the notification shown while connected (declining breaks nothing) and the advertising ID — for the purposes below.

Install attribution

The app uses AppsFlyer (AppsFlyer Ltd.) to see which ad campaign an install came from. AppsFlyer receives: the device advertising ID (Google Advertising ID), the install and its source, app launches and general device and network information — model, OS version, country. It receives nothing about what you do in the app or online.

So that AppsFlyer can count uninstalls, Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) is used: the device gets a service token and AppsFlyer sends a silent notification to it. Firebase is used for nothing else. AppsFlyer's policy: appsflyer.com/legal/privacy-policy.

The “Get a subscription” button

Sometimes the main screen shows a “Get a subscription” button. It opens our partner's website in the browser; the purchase happens there, under their terms — there are no payments inside the app.

Whether the button is shown and where it leads, the app asks our server (api.net-work.bid). That request carries only the code of the ad campaign the install came from. When you tap the button, the AppsFlyer install ID, the advertising ID (unless you limited it) and the ad campaign labels are added to the address so the purchase can be credited to that campaign. Without a tap, none of this is sent anywhere.

Limiting it

In Android's Settings → Privacy → Ads you can delete or limit the advertising ID. The app keeps working as before.

Subscription link

Instead of the built-in servers you can add a subscription link from your provider. The app downloads the server list from it and refreshes it from time to time. That request sends the provider: the app and Android version, the phone model and a random device number created by the app — the provider counts devices on the subscription by it. The number is linked to nothing else (not the advertising ID, not ANDROID_ID). The link and its response are handled by the provider, under their terms.

Connection log

The app keeps a log of VPN events: connections, connectivity checks, errors. It contains no server addresses, keys or subscription link. It stays on your phone and is never sent automatically — only you can pass it to support with Share.

What stays on the device

The chosen server (so the connection can come back after a reboot), the subscription link and server list if you added one, the log, the ad campaign code and labels, and the server's answer about the button. All of it is deleted with the app.

On our servers

While the VPN is on, traffic passes through our servers — otherwise the connection can't work. We do not record it or keep lists of resources visited. Technical data needed to carry traffic exists only in memory for the duration of the connection. We can only disclose what we have under a lawful demand, and we have no browsing history.

Children

The app is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data about them.
